VANGUARD is a band from Brno, founded in 2015, whose music oscillates around melodic/technical death metal with many genre overlaps. The band has released three albums, their debut EP "I" in 2015, the full-length "II" in 2019, and their latest "III: Pyrrhic Sequence" released at the end of 2023. Vanguard has played over 200 club and festival shows in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as in Poland, Germany, Austria, and Portugal. In 2025, the band participated in the finals of the national round of the WACKEN METAL BATTLE CZECH REPUBLIC competition at the Palác Akropolis in Prague.
