It is fear and emptiness deep inside, madness gripping the body – that which oppresses a person, yet has no shape, cannot be grasped, seen, or described. What lies so clearly between horror and the unknown... that is BJES – Czech masters of post-atmospheric black metal from Kolín.
BJES was formed in 2018 and creates a dark musical landscape inspired by nature, blasphemy, and vanity, independently and authentically. Their debut EP "Prázdnota" from 2023 and the follow-up full-length album "Končina" (2023), together with last year's album "Tyrana" (2024), capture raw emotions and spread a melancholic atmosphere like few other Czech bands.
